美国人和英国人在思维方式上的区别
了解英语文化和思维方式也是学习英语的重要一环。下面给大家盘点一下，美国人和英国人在思维方式上究竟有哪些不同吧~
美国人刚接触陌生人，第一句话就是报名字，自我介绍。他们也一样期待对方赶紧表明身份等等。美国人之间的整个认识过程都比较快速吧。也许他们刚认识就能成为朋友了。美国人自己报名字一点都不觉得害羞惭愧。

然而这种沟通模式在英国社会根本行不通。在英国文化里呢，必须有其他人负责介绍，自己才有尊严。介绍自己一直是很丢脸的事情。或者说，有人故意报自己名字只能说明他很弱，因为没人愿意给他介绍。或者会认为这个人太急了，没耐心。反过来，如果直接问对方叫什么，有时候是一种侮辱。其实，这方面的文化差异实在很大。因此，英国人普遍熟悉得较慢。
美国人交流，经常把自己说得比现实更牛逼一点。自夸现象比较常见。美国人觉得如果把自己说得很厉害，是一种自信的象征。英国人就不能这样替自己说话了，更不能自己吹牛。吹牛也只能把自己吹得比现实更软弱才行。英国人觉得把自己说得太厉害了，反而是超级不自信的象征。可以比较一下美国人简历与英国人简历就知道了。

表面上这只不过是一种谦虚。但是也没那么简单。英国人心里也都很自豪，一直希望对方知道自己的厉害。只是文化规定了千万不能自己说出来。如果真的做过什么厉害的事，那都应该是别人去跟对方说的，或者对方自己去慢慢挖掘。

这英式谦虚跟东亚式谦虚还是有很大区别的。如果别人当着别人的面替你说话夸你；在东亚你必须来客气否认两句。在英国就不需要了。因为英国文化的核心在于永远等待其他人这么来替你说话。不能自己说而已。（如果在英国，别人来夸你，然后你拒绝了否认了，大家都觉得你有点奇怪）。不过，相比美国人，英国谦虚文化还是比较接近中国文化一些。
美国人在对话当中也很容易把自己的立场和目标说的很清楚。
可是英国人比较含蓄。对自己的想法更保守一些。
虽然英国人往往觉得一个人的能力合成就是天生注定的，他们也认为每个人都有自己的天生特长。而且都认为培养一孩子的主要目标是发现其特长+努力支持孩子往这方向发展。孩子喜欢语文，那就不用学理科了。孩子喜欢+擅长音乐，那不用学其他的了。

这简直不能再明显了。英国教育系统是什么样子的？

13岁筛选7-10个科目，孩子自己选。毕业五个任一科目就能及格。

16岁加入高中，也只需要选3-5科目。数学或英语（语文）都可以放弃了。

18岁入大学，那只能选一个科目了。大学期间，没必要学任何与科目不相关的，基本没有必修课。

而且大学一年比一年筛选得更细了。到三年级，可能只在学该领域的很小一领域。从13岁开始，教育广度一年一年缩小了，但是深度一年一年加深了。而且大家都觉得这一切很正常。对比美国中国等大多数国家，这都是不可能的了。

谁对谁错，也不好评价。美国教育以及美国文化更注重孩子的整体全面发展
美国人对待所有事情都比较乐观。不会把悲观的想法说出来让别人知道。算是美国的保守之处吧。英国人不仅会把悲观的事情说出来，一切都还是很悲观。说到讽刺，那美国人和英国人也都喜欢。但是大家都知道英式幽默跟美式幽默是有区别的。
